AI Assistant for Restaurant Operations: Using Wox Analyst
Wox Analyst answers questions from your own sales, stock and cost data in Georgian or English, and proposes changes that only apply once you confirm them. Here is how to use it well.

Most owners already know the questions they want answered. Why did food cost jump last week. Which dishes are selling at a thin margin. How much cash was short on Saturday. The answers are in the data, but finding them used to mean building a report or waiting for the accountant.
Wox Analyst is the AI assistant inside Wox. You ask in plain Georgian or English, and it answers from your live data: sales, stock, costs, rs.ge waybills, reservations, staff and cash. When an answer suggests an action, it can propose the change for you to review. Nothing changes until you confirm it.
Before you start
Wox Analyst is included on paid plans. It is not part of the Free plan. Each plan includes a monthly allowance of AI requests, so it helps to decide early which questions are worth asking and who will be asking them. Current plan details are on the pricing page.
Access also follows permissions. A person needs the right role to use the assistant, and when the assistant proposes a change, Wox checks again at the moment of confirmation that the person is allowed to make it. A waiter cannot approve a menu price change by asking the assistant to do it.
- 1Check that your organization is on a plan that includes AI.
- 2Decide who will use Wox Analyst day to day, usually the owner, general manager and head chef.
- 3Make sure those people have roles that allow the assistant and the areas they will ask about.
- 4Agree on a few recurring questions worth asking every week, so the request allowance goes to the ones that matter.
Ask your first questions
You can open Wox Analyst from the Wox web app, from the mobile app, and from the dashboard on the POS. Each conversation is tied to the location you are working in, so a question about stock answers for that location.

Which supplier prices went up this month?
Supplier price changes
From your rs.ge waybills, the biggest increase is Sulguni, up from ₾14.20/kg to ₾16.90/kg, a rise of 19.0% on September 22, 2026. It goes into 4 dishes, including Imeruli khachapuri.
- Sunflower oil: ₾5.40/L to ₾6.10/L (13.0%) on October 2, 2026
- Tomatoes: down from ₾4.80/kg to ₾3.20/kg (33.3%)

Ask about sales, stock, costs or bookings...
Wox Analyst is AI-generated and may be inaccurate. Verify important details before acting.
- 1Open Wox Analyst and check that the right location is selected.
- 2Ask a specific question with a time period, for example "What was our food cost percentage last week compared with the week before?"
- 3Read the answer and the figures it shows, not only the summary sentence.
- 4Cross-check one or two key numbers against your reports before acting on them.
- 5Ask a follow-up in the same conversation to narrow it down, such as "Which five ingredients drove the change?"
- 6Rate the answer, so poor answers can be reviewed.
Specific questions get better answers. "How are we doing" gives a general summary. "Which dishes sold more than 50 portions in September at under 60 percent margin" gives you something to act on.
A worked example: food cost percentage
Food cost percentage is the cost of the food you used divided by food sales, times one hundred. The cost of food used is opening stock plus purchases minus closing stock. If a restaurant in Vake starts September with 9,000 ₾ of food stock, buys 21,000 ₾ during the month and ends with 8,500 ₾, it used 21,500 ₾ of food. On 72,000 ₾ of food sales, that is a food cost of about 29.9 percent.
You can ask Wox Analyst for that figure directly, and then ask the questions that matter more: which categories moved, which suppliers raised prices on rs.ge waybills, which dishes now cost more to make than their price allows. The number is only as accurate as the counts and recipes behind it, which is why recipe costing and regular counts are worth the effort. For background on healthy ranges, see restaurant food cost percentage.
The assistant can tell you the number in a second; only good counts and recipes can make the number true.
When Wox Analyst proposes a change
Some answers lead naturally to an action. Wox Analyst can propose a waste entry, a reservation, new prices for dishes whose margin has slipped, marking a dish as sold out, a task for staff, or a par level. Each one appears as a preview that shows exactly what would change.
- 1Read the preview carefully, including quantities, prices, dates and which location it applies to.
- 2If anything is wrong, say so in the chat and ask for a corrected proposal.
- 3Confirm only when the preview is exactly what you want.
- 4Check the result in the relevant screen, such as the menu, the reservation book or the waste log.
Daily insights
Wox Analyst also looks for things worth your attention and shows them as insights on the dashboard. These include cash shortages at close, sudden jumps in food cost, and reminders about holiday hours, so a short day around Mtskhetoba or New Year does not catch the team off guard.
Treat an insight as a prompt to look, not a verdict. A cash shortage flag might be a real shortage or a payment entered against the wrong tender. Open it, check the detail, and decide.
AI outside the chat
Some AI help lives in other parts of Wox rather than in the conversation. When you work on the menu, Wox can suggest combos, promotions and new dishes based on what you already sell. These are suggestions to edit and approve like any other menu change.
Habits that make it useful
- Treat answers as a starting point. Check quantities and prices before confirming any change.
- Spend requests on decisions. A weekly food cost review is worth more than ten greetings.
- Keep your data honest. Regular counts, reviewed rs.ge waybills and complete recipes make every answer better.
- Ask in the language your team thinks in. Georgian and English both work.
More about what the assistant covers is on the Wox Analyst feature page, and the numbers it draws on are explained in reporting and analytics.
Questions people ask
What can I ask Wox Analyst?
Questions about your own operation: sales, stock, costs, rs.ge waybills, reservations, staff and cash. It answers from your live Wox data in Georgian or English.
Can Wox Analyst change things in my account?
It can propose changes such as a waste entry, a reservation, new dish prices, marking a dish sold out, a staff task or a par level. Each proposal is a preview, and it applies only after a person with the right permission confirms it.
Is Wox Analyst included on the Free plan?
No. AI is included on paid plans, each with a monthly allowance of AI requests. Paid plans start from 99 GEL per month.
How do I calculate food cost percentage?
Add opening stock and purchases, subtract closing stock to get the cost of food used, divide by food sales and multiply by 100. Wox Analyst can calculate it for any period from your counts and sales.
Should I trust every number the assistant gives me?
Treat answers as a strong starting point and cross-check key figures against your reports before acting. The answers are only as accurate as the counts, recipes and waybills recorded in Wox.
